Michelle Obama just brought down the house

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The first night of the Democratic National Convention saw a number of impressive speakers from across the political spectrum, breathing life into the virtual convention. But then First Lady Michelle Obama came along at the end of the night and blew everyone out of the water with a speech that we’ll all be quoting for quite some time.

Michelle Obama made a point of emphasizing that she still believes in her 2016 catch phrase “When they go low, we go high.” But that didn’t stop her from eloquently and gracefully spelling out why Donald Trump isn’t fit to be President of the United States. She said that Trump is “clearly in over his head” because “you simply cannot fake your way through this job.” Then she dropped the bomb on him.

Michelle Obama used Donald Trump’s own recent infamous line against him when she said that Trump “simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is.” It was a moment that’s going to resonate, from a speech that’s never going to be forgotten.

Michelle Obama explained that she knows Joe Biden personally, she worked alongside him for eight years, and she knows first-hand that he has what it takes to be President of the United States.
