WRONG ANSWER
If Donald Trump thinks that sending his armed goons to mess with peaceful protesters in places like Portland is going to help his reelection odds, his worsening poll numbers suggest the opposite. But he’ll still trying to find ways to justify his idiotic move instead of changing course. Now he’s once again trying to make it about statues or something.
Trump posted this bizarre tweet which seems to falsely imply that the protesters in Portland are attacking federal buildings:
Anarchists, Agitators or Protestors who vandalize or damage our Federal Courthouse in Portland, or any Federal Buildings in any of our Cities or States, will be prosecuted under our recently re-enacted Statues & Monuments Act. MINIMUM TEN YEARS IN PRISON. Don’t do it! @DHSgov

This is patently the wrong answer from Donald Trump. Not only is he full of crap, he’s not helping his own cause. The more he tries to paint peaceful protesters as a violent mob, the more people see that he’s the real problem. Just ask the suburban moms and military veterans who are now marching against him in growing numbers.
