This is just plain disastrous for Donald Trump
Over the past month Palmer Report has been documenting how Joe Biden’s once-small lead continues to expand in the crucial swing state of Florida. So we’re not surprised that the respected Cook Political Report is now changing its Florida rating from “toss up” to “lean Democrat.” But it’s what’s going on in some other states that is truly disastrous for Donald Trump.
The Cook Political Report is also shifting the deep red states of Missouri, Kansas, and Indiana from “solid Republican” to “lean Republican.” This doesn’t necessarily mean that Biden should go on the offensive in these three states, as there are other red states that he could more easily pick off by focusing on. But it does mean that Joe Biden now has the same shot at winning Missouri, Kansas, and Indiana that Donald Trump has at winning Florida.
This comes amid the news earlier this week that the usually red state of Texas is now officially a swing state this time around, with the polls having Biden and Trump essentially tied in the state. This represents an opportunity to truly run up the score by doubling down on things like voter registration and voter turnout, to make sure Trump loses in a statement-making blowout.
