Donald Trump has berserk meltdown as Fox News turns against him
Political leanings aside, Fox News is a for-profit business. The network was only ever propping up Donald Trump because it made for a good ratings ploy. Now that Trump’s popularity continues to drop and even some conservatives are giving up on him, Fox’s coverage of Trump has became incrementally more negative – in particular during the daytime and weekends.
Donald Trump, ever the narcissist, seems to be taking it personally. He posted this bizarre tweet accusing Fox News of caving to the “Radical Left”:
So hard to watch @FoxNews anymore. They are working so hard against the people (viewers) that got them there. Their contributors are a disaster, and all over the place. The Radical Left has scared Fox into submission, just like they have so many others. Sad, but we will WIN!

What Trump doesn’t get is that Fox News is merely going where its own audience wants it to go. Hannity and Ingraham viewers still largely want to hear pro-Trump propaganda, so it’s given to them, because that’s what will keep the largest chunk of them tuned in. But Fox’s daytime and weekend viewers are starting to turn against Trump, and so Fox’s coverage in those time slots is doing the same.
Donald Trump is too much of a narcissist to understand that Fox News never really liked or disliked or cared about him. It was just a marriage of convenience for the network; a way to boost ratings. Now that the wind is starting to blow the other direction, Fox is doing what’s best for Fox, not what’s best for Trump.
