Mary Trump just scored a major victory over Donald Trump
When a judge announced a restraining order this week against Mary Trump’s new tell-all book against Donald Trump, Palmer Report explained that this didn’t mean Donald Trump had somehow magically stopped the book from coming to market. The book isn’t set to ship for four weeks, and the restraining order was just temporary.
But now things have quickly shifted in Mary Trump’s favor. The court of appeals has struck down the restraining order against Simon & Schuster, essentially giving the publisher the all-clear to bring the book to market, even as Donald Trump and Mary Trump fight their court battle.
In other words, even though Donald Trump can continue pursuing legal action and financial penalties against Mary Trump, her book is going to hit the market on the day it’s supposed to hit the market. The book is already at #4 on the Amazon bestseller charts based on preorders alone, even though Mary hasn’t yet done any interviews or embarked on a book tour.
