Donald Trump’s “Lone Ranger” debacle proves he’s even further gone than we thought

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Yesterday Donald Trump tweeted “THE LONE WARRIOR” in all capital letters, with no context or explanation. Plenty of observers asked if he’d meant to call himself “The Lone Ranger” instead. Sure enough, Trump revealed on Fox Business Channel today that he really did mean The Lone Ranger – and for a reason that’s even stupider than we could have imagined.

Trump said today that the one time he wore a mask, he liked it because it made him look like The Lone Ranger. No really, he said this. It’s difficult to even know where to start with this. For instance, there’s an obvious psychopathy in that his opinion on lifesaving masks is only evolving because he liked how his mask made him look.

Then there’s the fact that The Lone Ranger wore a mask over the top part of his face, as a disguise. So either Trump thinks The Lone Ranger was wearing a mask over his mouth, or Trump intends to wear a mask over his eyes. Pick one. And again, Trump referred to The Lone Ranger as “The Lone Warrior” yesterday. He’s just that far gone, psychologically and cognitively.
