Donald Trump’s own handlers admit he’s got nothing
This weekend Donald Trump largely hid from public view, and ultimately hid in an underground bunker, as the nation burned and demands for his ouster grew louder. Instead of stepping up and trying to show the kind of leadership that might breathe new life into his dead presidency, he instead merely posted occasional idiotic tweets from the shadows.
Now we know why Trump didn’t bother to even try to show up and lead this weekend. Remarkably, the confirmation is coming from one of Trump’s own top people. The Washington Post says that “Trump and some of his advisers calculated that he should not speak to the nation because he had nothing new to say and had no tangible policy or action to announce yet,” according to a top unnamed Trump adviser.
So now Donald Trump’s own handlers are flat out admitting to the media that Trump’s got nothing. No plan, no policies, no clue, not even any sense of how to try to BS his way through all of this. He really does have nothing.
