The Matrix director curses out Ivanka Trump for daring to quote The Matrix
Now that Tesla boss Elon Musk has completely lost whatever was left of his marbles during the lockdown, he’s suddenly finding himself embraced by the equally deranged Trump family. When Musk quoted The Matrix today for no apparent reason, Ivanka Trump responded in agreement. The trouble for them both: the director of The Matrix wasn’t exactly happy about it.
Elon Musk tweeted “Take the red pill” in reference to the movie’s iconic scene in which Morpheus offers Neo the choice between the red pill and the blue pill. Ivanka Trump quoted Musk and added “Taken!” That’s when things got ugly.
Lilly Wachowski, who created The Matrix alongside her sister Lana Wachowski, tweeted this at Elon Musk and Ivanka Trump: “Fuck both of you.” Wachowski’s profane response got twice as many likes as Ivanka got. Wachowski then urged everyone to support the Brave Space Alliance.
