Looks like Donald Trump has just been directly exposed to coronavirus

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Early on in the coronavirus crisis, Donald Trump was exposed to the virus at Mar-a-Lago but didn’t appear to catch it. Since that time he’s mostly remained at the White House. But even that was seemingly going to catch up to him sooner or later. We’ve all seen the lack of social distancing, the lack of masks, and the mere reliance on once-per-week testing of employees who come into contact with Trump.

Now it turns out the White House valet, who serves Donald Trump his meals, has tested positive for coronavirus and is suffering from some unstated level of symptoms. This is according to CNN and since confirmed by NBC News. We wish this valet the best on his or her recovery. The thing is, though, when you consider Trump’s refusal to allow any serious coronavirus safety protocols when it comes to the people around him, it’s difficult to imagine how Trump could not have been directly exposed by this.

The White House has announced that Trump and Pence were tested for coronavirus today and both tested negative. But as we keep seeing, tests can show a false negative while an infected person is pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic. So this doesn’t mean that they don’t have it. We won’t know for sure for up to fourteen days after Trump’s last contact with the infected person.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump appears to be hitting the panic button over this, or whatever deranged version of the panic button exists in his failing mind. NBC says he’s “lava level mad” at his staff for letting this happen, which is surreal, considering he’s the one who hasn’t allowed the White House to operate in a safe manner. We’ll see who ends up getting scapegoated over this, but it’s Trump’s own fault.
