Donald Trump Jr goes off the deep end about the most ridiculous thing possible
More than a million Americans have now tested positive for a deadly virus. Millions more Americans are suspected of being infected, but can’t get tested. Sixty thousand Americans have already died. The economy is in freefall. People can’t pay their bills or feed their families.
So what’s Donald Trump Jr. focused on? He’s throwing a fit about the fact that some state lockdowns have included shutting down golf courses. He even posted an online petition attacking the Republican Governor of Massachusetts over the golf thing. That’s right, Junior thinks America’s biggest crisis right now is not being able to golf. So what’s the deal?
It’s not difficult to figure out what Donald Trump Jr is trying to do here. Yes, his half senile father loves playing golf. But the real upshot is that the (failing) Trump real estate business is based largely around golf resorts. Junior is desperate to create public demand for the reopening of golf courses, even as everything else remains locked down, in the hope of keeping the Trump Organization out of yet another humiliating bankruptcy.
