Jeff Weaver was the campaign manager for Bernie Sanders in 2016, and he was a senior adviser to Bernie Sanders in 2020. Weaver has his fans and his detractors, and I’ve often found myself in the latter category. But now Weaver is doing something that’s unquestionably patriotic.

Jeff Weaver and some of Bernie’s other former campaign advisers launching a Super PAC in support of Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, according to the New York Times. Weaver is aiming to convince progressives to turn out and vote for Biden, because it’s the only way to oust Donald Trump.

Some of Bernie Sanders’s top 2020 campaign advisers turned out to be such divisive creeps, Sanders ended up publicly condemning their anti-Biden antics. But we’ll say this for Jeff Weaver: he’s trying to do the right thing.
