Dear Palmer Report readers,
We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.
In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer
Palmer Report
How far gone is Donald Trump? He couldn’t read a list of ten countries during his press briefing today without forgetting that he’d just done so, and reading it again a moment later, only to botch it. He couldn’t read a passage from a newspaper editorial without realizing that his own handlers seemed to be punking him by getting him to read the words “It is hard to get aroused.”
At one point during Trump’s mostly unintelligible rambling today, he didn’t appear to be sure if California Governor Gavin Newsom is a Democrat or Republican. Trump appeared to claim that he’s invoked the Defense Production Act to manufacture coronavirus testing kits, but it’s far from clear if this has actually happened, or if it’s something that Trump just made up.
You could make the argument that Donald Trump never had the plot to begin with. But after what we watched on television just now, it’s more clear than ever that Trump has completely lost the plot. This guy doesn’t know what he’s doing, what he’s talking about, or where he’s at. Americans are dying by the tens of thousands, and we have a “president” who’s at least fifty percent senile.
