Adam Schiff slam dunks Donald Trump
Donald Trump loves nothing more than to make threats he knows are impossible, in the hope we won’t know he’s bluffing, and that we’ll end up being scared into paralysis by it. Trump’s latest empty threat involves forcibly reopening the country in the middle of a pandemic, even though he lacks any legal power or practical method for doing so.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is having none of it:
There is no “reopening” without a plan to get the virus under control and keep it that way.
Trump’s false claims of absolute power are alarming, of course. But his failure to scale up testing is unforgiveable and deadly.
