Donald Trump goes completely off the rails after Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly resigns in disgrace

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is holding yet another pointless, harmful, idiotic press conference today. He began by tepidly struggling to read a prepared script. Once he started taking questions, the first one was predictably about the resignation of Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly.

Trump claimed that he had nothing to do with Thomas Modly’s resignation, which is ridiculous. Trump then made the surreal claim that “I don’t know” Modly. That’s right, Trump’s official position is that he doesn’t even know his own Acting Secretary of the Navy, even though Trump appointed the guy.

Trump then refused to show any leadership when it comes to the fate of Captain Crozier, who was improperly relieved of command by Modly, after Crozier dared to sound the alarm about the coronavirus outbreak on his ship. The only thing Trump could come up with was to unfavorably compare Crozier to Ernest Hemingway. What kind of crap is this?
