Dear Palmer Report readers,
We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.
In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

Minutes from now, Donald Trump will hold what could be one of the worst press conferences of all time. The fact that Donald Trump has invited Attorney General Bill Barr to participate is enough to make anyone’s stomach turn. Now we’re learning that Trump thinks he no longer needs to listen to Dr. Fauci’s expertise because – get this – Jared Kushner is giving him advice he likes better.
This is according to a surreal new report from Vanity Fair this evening, which reveals that Donald Trump is now “frustrated” at Dr. Fauci for daring to give out accurate information, as opposed to the pie-in-the-sky promises that Trump likes to make. More worryingly, the article says that Jared Kushner has been telling Trump about “conspiracy theories” involving experimental coronavirus treatments, and Trump is lapping it up like the desperate fool that he is.
So where does this leave things? We’ll see if Donald Trump even allows Dr. Fauci to participate in today’s press conference. We’ll also see whether Trump starts babbling about the lunatic nonsense he’s hearing from Jared Kushner. Either way, this just keeps getting more awful. These press conferences should not be aired live until they can be fact checked.
