This morning Donald Trump posted a tweet asserting that a combination of azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine is an effective treatment for coronavirus. There is a recent medical study along these lines. The trouble is, Trump is painting this as some kind of miracle cure, at a time when medical experts are still trying to determine real answers.

Various medical professionals have spent the day warning that Donald Trump’s tweet was overly simplistic and misleading. Dr. Edsel Salvana spelled it out best:
