Marco Rubio just made things even worse for himself

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Right now America has far bigger problems than the fact that Republican Senator Marco Rubio is a complete idiot. Come to think of it, he’s not even the biggest idiot in the Republican Senate. But wow is this guy ever having a bad day, and he just found a way to make it even worse for himself.

This morning Marco Rubio posted a tweet insisting that the United States is not headed toward “Marshall Law.” That’s right, the guy is trying to shoot down a conspiracy theory while demonstrating that he has no idea how to spell, and no willingness to have anyone in his vast Senate staff help him out. There are surely people on his staff who could have explained to him that it’s “martial law” before he hit the send button. This evening, he tried to address the error:

.

That’s right, he’s now referring to it as “marital law” instead of “martial law.” Is he being just this careless, or is he trying to be funny on purpose? Either way it’s the latest evidence, in a long string of evidence, that Marco Rubio simply lacks the brain cells and the gravitas to be a Senator – particularly in a time of crisis.
