On Friday, Chinese billionaire Jack Ma announced that he was going to be donating a ton of masks and coronavirus test kits to the United States. This sounded good, and the Alibaba cofounded certainly has the resources and infrastructure to pull it off. But under the current difficult circumstances, was it going to be feasible?

Jack Ma posted this tweet overnight, showing that the coronavirus medical supplies are already en route to the United States:

Now we just have to hope that these coronavirus medical supplies end up in the correct hands once they reach the United States. It also raises a crucial question. If it’s this easy for a guy with money to get his hands on this many coronavirus testing kits in such short order, then why couldn’t Donald Trump, who currently controls the entire United States Treasury, make it happen?
