RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel may have caught the coronavirus at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When the news broke that at least two people who attended Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago shindig last weekend have since tested positive for coronavirus, Palmer Report predicted that this number would sadly grow. Whoever showed up to the event with the virus didn’t just spread it to one other person. Sure enough, last night that number grew to three. Now there’s the fear that there may be a fourth.

Washington Post reporter Josh Dawsey posted this alarming tweet today:

Of course this doesn’t mean Ronna McDaniel has the coronavirus. She could instead be sick with the flu, or another bug. She’s doing the right thing by being quarantined and tested. But this is yet another ominous sign for everyone who was at the Mar-a-Lago event.

Ronna McDaniel is young enough to probably survive the coronavirus if she has it. Donald Trump, who interacted with multiple infected people at Mar-a-Lago, is an elderly person in poor health who would be far less likely to survive. In any case, we’re not rooting for anyone to catch this virus, but that Mar-a-Lago party is looking deadlier by the hour. Update: Trump claimed this evening that he tested negative, but there’s no reason to believe him.
