On Friday, the news broke that a second person who attended last weekend’s Mar-a-Lago social gathering has since tested positive for the coronavirus. At the time, Palmer Report pointed out that once the number got to two, it certainly wasn’t going to stop.

Sure enough, as of late Friday night, that number has grown to three, according to the Washington Post. This isn’t remotely surprising. Someone infected with the virus doesn’t show up and give it to just one other person. Here’s the thing: someone infected with the virus doesn’t show up and give it to just two other people, either. In the coming days, we’ll hear about a whole lot more people from that event who are infected.

The kicker is that, based on photographic evidence, we know that Donald Trump and Mike Pence were both directly exposed to the virus. Yet neither is in quarantine, and Trump keeps making up excuses for why he hasn’t been tested. We’ve already seen fellow Mar-a-Lago attendees Lindsey Graham and Rick Scott put themselves into quarantine, even though their exposure appears to have been less than that of Trump. We could end up seeing dozens of coronavirus cases coming out of that fateful Mar-a-Lago event – and yet Trump is still pretending he’s the only one who’s, what, magically immune?
