As the week has gone on, just about every new poll has shown Joe Biden surging, whether it’s nationally, or in individual states. He’s expanding his lead in places like Florida. He’s pulling ahead in states like Michigan, where he wasn’t necessarily expected to win. And now we have a potential stunner on our hands in another state.

A week ago you wouldn’t be able to find one pundit, including me, who expected Joe Biden to win the Washington State primary race. But on Friday a new poll from local KING-TV showed Biden having climbed into the lead in the state by one point. Okay, what if this was just an outlier? But now we have a second poll, this time from Data for Progress, which shows Biden ahead by three points in Washington.

Of course these two polls are both within their own stated margin of error. But with Biden being ahead in both of them, we’re comfortable saying that he’s slightly pulled ahead in Washington. The caveat is that both these polls include Elizabeth Warren, who is polling in the five to ten percent range, but who has since dropped out. However, from what we’ve seen in other polling data thus far, Warren’s supporters appear to be splitting somewhat evenly between Biden and Sanders.

The bottom line is that this upcoming Tuesday is looking better for Joe Biden by the day. He now appears set for a huge blowout win in Mississippi, to the point that Sanders has ceased campaigning in the state. New polls in Missouri confusingly say Biden is up by either four points or twenty-two points, take your pick. The latest polling in Michigan has Biden up by six. A few smaller states also vote on Tuesday, but with no polling data available from them.
