Dmitry Rybolovlev is suddenly back in the U.S., and he’s once again near a Donald Trump event
Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev has a habit of flying in on his private plane to the same cities that Donald Trump just happens to be visiting at the time. Rybolovlev insists it’s all coincidence, and that he doesn’t even know Trump, even though he once bought a Florida house from Trump for around twice what it was worth. Now one of those “coincidences” is playing out once again.
Dmitry Rybolovlev’s private plane can be tracked fairly easily by following its flight plans on a site such as FlightRadar24 (link). Of late his plane has largely been bouncing around Europe. But his flight on April 26th, which was supposed to be from Nice, France, to London, England, is now listed as having been “diverted” to Newark, New Jersey. So what’s in Newark? For one thing, its airport is used as a sort of third arrival point for New York City. So where is Trump headed to this weekend?
Trump is about to hold a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 29th (link). Newark and Harrisburg are around 160 miles apart, or about a two and a half hour trip by car. Considering that Dmitry Rybolovlev once flew into Miami while Trump was in West Palm Beach, there would seem to be precedent for Rybolovlev arriving a couple hours away from Trump’s location in order not to arouse suspicion. Again, Rybolovlev insists that he’s never flown anywhere for the purpose of meeting Trump, and that these are coincidences. But there is a major upcoming litmus test for this.
One week from now, Donald Trump will be returning to New York City for the first time since taking office (link). As Palmer Report has previously noted, Trump has seemed to be afraid to set foot in his home city (link), but now he’s finally venturing home. So here’s what to watch for. Will Dmitry Rybolovlev’s plane still be in Newark by the time Trump arrives in Harrisburg this Saturday? And perhaps more importantly, will Rybolovlev’s plane still be around the corner from New York City next week when Trump arrives in Manhattan? We’ll be watching closely. Contribute to Palmer Report
