Things just got even uglier for Rudy Giuliani – and it leads directly back to Donald Trump

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

During yesterday’s impeachment hearings we saw that Donald Trump’s House Republican allies are more than willing to throw Rudy Giuliani under the bus if they think it might save Trump himself. Today we’re getting a reminder of why Trump may not be able to extricate himself from the Rudy mess, even if he and his allies try to scapegoat Rudy.

Federal prosecutors have already made clear that their criminal investigation into Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who have already been arrested, is also a criminal investigation into Rudy Giuliani. So it’s a big deal that, according to the New York Times, the Feds have been subpoenaing a pro-Trump Super PAC as part of the Lev-Igor-Rudy investigation.

The only reason to subpoena a Super PAC is to follow the money, of course. Considering what’s already known about Lev and Igor and illegal foreign campaign contributions, it’s highly likely that the Feds are trying to figure out if Lev, Igor, and Rudy were illegally funneling foreign money through this Super PAC to Donald Trump.

The NY Times says the Super PAC has already turned over documents in response to the subpoenas. This suggests that the Super PAC may not have known any foreign money was involved, and wants to clear itself by helping the Feds to determine who all did know the money was foreign – whether that be Lev and Igor, or Rudy, or Trump, or all of the above.

The bottom line is that Trump and Rudy appear to be inextricably tied together by foreign money facilitated by Lev and Igor. That means the deeper the Feds dig into Rudy, the more this is going to land on Trump’s doorstep. If Trump were to scapegoat Rudy, it would leave Rudy with no choice but to cut a plea deal against Trump.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
