House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is giving the opening statement in what will prove to be historic televised House impeachment hearings against Donald Trump. Schiff is methodically laying out the big picture in Trump’s Ukraine scandal for the benefit of those Americans who are just now tuning in to see what all the fuss is about. Trump, on the other hand, is going berserk.
Adam Schiff is going into damning detail about how Donald Trump and his underlings tried to extort the President of Ukraine into helping him promote a fake Biden scandal, by withholding U.S. military aid and other items. Schiff is quoting everyone from John Bolton to Mick Mulvaney in order to make his case. So let’s see what Trump has to say.
Trump is over on Twitter yelling “READ THE TRANSCRIPT!” Uh, we did, and he’s guilty. Trump is also yelling “NEVER TRUMPERS!” It sounds like he’s having an allergic reaction to reality. Trump is quoting someone who said “quid pro quo because there was no quid, and there was no quo.” Uh, no. Just no.
