Nancy Pelosi isn’t buying it

Donald Trump is trying to claim that because he’s taken out ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, it means ISIS has been defeated. Based on the reactions from the media and the public, he’s having quite a bit of trouble selling this notion today. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi in particular isn’t buying it.

Nancy Pelosi posted a tweet saluting the “heroism, dedication & skill of our military and our intelligence professionals” who were involved in the operation. But she was also quick to add that “The death of al-Baghdadi is significant, but it does not mean the death of ISIS.
Donald Trump must present the American people with a clear strategy to confront ISIS.”

Trump is facing a number of problems on this front. He’s previously claimed that he had already completely defeated ISIS, which makes him look foolish in light of recent news. He also just got done letting thousands of ISIS terrorists out of prison with his idiotic U.S. troop withdrawal from northern Syria. And his egomaniacal, unseemly press conference this morning ended up garnering him quite a bit of bad press.

This comes even as U.S. officials are leaking that Donald Trump’s Syria pullout directly sabotaged the Baghdadi raid, the Kremlin appears to be accusing Trump of having faked Baghdadi’s death, and the growing inconsistencies make clear that Trump is lying about some aspect of the raid.
