Rudy Giuliani accidentally butt-dials NBC News in the middle of the night and gives away secrets

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as the media and the SDNY race each other to try to get to the bottom of Rudy Giuliani’s Trump-related criminal scandals, it turns out Rudy himself is doing a swifter job of taking himself down than anyone else involved. This is the guy who keeps going on television and blurting out confessions, so perhaps it’s not surprising that he ended up accidentally butt-dialing a reporter and giving away a bunch of secrets.

In a story that’s absurdly farcical yet not all that surprising, Rudy Giuliani unintentionally called an NBC News reporter late at night – and when the accidental call wasn’t answered, it went to voicemail. This resulted in Rudy’s conversation with an associate being recorded into the reporter’s voicemail, and the relevant portions of it are now being published by NBC.

Apparently there is someone in Rudy’s world named Charles, and Rudy is pretty sure that Charles will have a “hard time with a fraud case ‘cause he didn’t do any due diligence.” What is this even supposed to mean? No one has any idea. But by the end of the day, someone out there will probably have pieced together who Charles is. There’s also someone out there named Robert, who’s currently in Turkey, and Rudy thinks “the problem is we need some money.” Rudy also appeared to give away that he has something underhanded going on with Bahrain – which could be important to prosecutors, who are already reportedly investigating Rudy’s dirty money ties to Ukraine and Turkey.

In any case we’ve reached the point where the personal attorney for the President of the United States is accidentally calling up NBC News in the middle of the night and giving away secrets. Donald Trump’s illegitimate presidency has been as much of a farce as it has been a tragedy, and this latest development will only help to cement that notion.
