Nancy Pelosi has something big to say

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. The news cycle on Tuesday night has been a whirlwind of revelations about the State Department Inspector General, who has uncovered some kind of corruption so crucial, he’s briefing all of the major House and Senate committees on Wednesday. Now it turns out Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has something big to say about the whole thing.

Various reports say that the State Department Inspector General’s urgent briefing has to do at least in part with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo trying to retaliate against any State Department employees who might try to cooperate with the House impeachment inquiry. The IG reportedly has documents to prove Pompeo’s corruption on the matter, and if so, that could be the end of him.

Also on Tuesday evening, House Democrats began negotiating directly with the Deputy Secretary of State, suggesting that they think Pompeo may indeed soon be gone. That’s why it’s so intriguing that Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff are holding a press conference at 10:45am on Wednesday, according to NBC News and other news outlets.

So what is Nancy Pelosi going to say tomorrow morning? What’s notable is that she and Schiff are holding their press conference before the Inspector General’s closed door testimony. Has the IG already given Pelosi the relevant documents? We’ll see what she has in store for us tomorrow. We’d suggest tuning in.
