“Standby there are more whistleblowers”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Just how important has the Ukraine whistleblower turned out to be? If not for his courage, the public might never have found out that Donald Trump tried to extort the president of Ukraine into altering the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election, and we might not be in the midst of impeachment. One of the many things Trump has to worry about right now is the possibility of more whistleblowers coming forward. Well, guess what?

Donald Trump’s former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has recently announced that he now feels compelled to help the Resistance take Trump down. Scaramucci was only in the White House for a brief time, but he’s had ties to the Trump political machine going back to the 2016 election. So he has inside connections and he presumably knows things we don’t. That’s why it’s a big deal that Scaramucci just tweeted this: “Standby there are more whistleblowers.”

We won’t speculate about who these additional whistleblowers might be, what information they might have, or when they plan on coming forward with it. How would we know?

But when the news broke this weekend that Donald Trump told the Russians in 2017 that he didn’t mind Kremlin election interference, it’s worth noting that this revelation didn’t come from someone who got inside the secret server with all the records. Based on the way the sourcing was described in the reporting, it came from someone who knew about the conversation all along, and finally felt compelled to go public about it.

So we’re totally inclined to believe that more people are in the process of coming forward with what they know about Donald Trump’s crimes and antics. We look forward to finding out who Scaramucci’s whistleblowers are, and what light they can shed on things. As he says, standby.
