Nancy Pelosi tips off that she’s targeting Bill Barr too

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced this week that she was starting impeachment, she made sure to initially limit the scope to just the Ukraine whistleblower scandal – and she was initially just targeting Trump. This kept things clean, simple, and easily understandable to the average American.

Then yesterday Nancy Pelosi spoke two words that should really scare Donald Trump, when she said that the whistleblower thing was the only focus of impeachment “for now.” This was a clear hint that the articles of impeachment could eventually end up having a broader focus, in the name of exposing all of Trump’s various scandals and crimes. Now Pelosi is hinting that impeachment won’t just be limited to Trump.

Acting DNI Joseph Maguire gave away during his public testimony that he consulted with the Department of Justice (translation: Attorney General Bill Barr) about whether to turn the whistleblower complaint over to Congress, even though Barr is one of the people accused of wrongdoing in the complaint. Barr advised Maguire to illegally sit on it, meaning that Barr obstructed justice to try to protect himself.

Today, Nancy Pelosi made a point of announcing that Bill Barr has “gone rogue” and that the whole thing has turned into a “coverup of the coverup.” It sounds to us like Pelosi is sending Barr a thinly veiled message: either he can recuse himself, or come clean, or resign, or otherwise get himself out of the picture – or she’ll impeach him too.
