Donald Trump just fed U.S. nuclear secrets to the Russians in plain sight
Earlier today, Russia suffered a mysterious nuclear accident that’s still unfolding and has turned deadly. It appears the Russians may not know what they’re doing when it comes to trying to fix it. But don’t worry, because Vladimir Putin’s biggest fan Donald Trump was more than ready to give away U.S. nuclear secrets to the Kremlin – in plain sight no less.
Trump posted this tweet shortly after the nuclear accident: “The United States is learning much from the failed missile explosion in Russia. We have similar, though more advanced, technology. The Russian ‘Skyfall’ explosion has people worried about the air around the facility, and far beyond. Not good!”
If the United States can help Russia limit the fallout from its nuclear accident and save lives, it should be done. But that’s not what Trump is doing with this tweet. He just tipped off the Kremlin that the U.S. is using similar technology, and that the U.S. is further along in controlling it. In other words, Trump basically just told the Kremlin’s hackers exactly what to look for.
Given Donald Trump’s track record, this wasn’t by mistake. Trump has a consistent history of feeding U.S. secrets to the Kremlin, as he continues his ongoing quest to curry personal favor with Putin, for reasons that are painfully obvious. The troubling part is that we don’t know precisely how damaging the information is in Trump’s tweet, because we don’t know precisely what he’s giving away. But it’s clear that Trump is, as per usual, playing for Putin’s team. Trump’s tweet is impeachable, and quite possibly imprisonable.
