Everyone piles on over Donald Trump’s eulogy

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is perhaps the most malignantly narcissistically shallow person on the planet. He makes everything about himself, even when it’s in bad taste, and even when he has to lie about it. This prompted “Trump eulogies” to begin trending on Twitter today, as everyone piled on with the kinds of self-centered eulogy that Trump might give at someone else’s funeral.

Chris Mandra @kataStatik – “You know… Jesus was a friend of mine… I have the best friends the greatest friends… I remember telling him “don’t give a man a fish – that’s a hand out… give fish to people who AREN’T hungry. If only he’d listened… And look where we are today”

Joel Gleicher @JoelG_88 – “After he died, he said to me ‘Sir, Thank you for everything you’ve done.’ And he was crying, and this is a big dead guy, but he was crying.”

Mrs. Betty Bowers @BettyBowers – “He was a very dear friend of mine. His wife used to be hot. Never guess it now. But trust me: Smokin’! Gotta tell ya: She wanted me so bad. Maybe because her husband was very stupid. And many people are saying not into the ladies. But he thought I was so great.”

Then George Conway @gtconway3d weighed in with an actual eulogy given by Donald Trump, which proves the point – “On June 29th, 1999, Trump gave a eulogy at his father’s funeral …. [Trump] used the time to talk about his own accomplishments and to make it clear that, in his mind, his father’s best achievement was producing him, Donald.”
