Yet another of Donald Trump’s advisers heads to prison

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as Special Counsel Robert Mueller publicly testifies today about his investigation into Donald Trump’s crimes – which Trump would be in prison for right now if he weren’t occupying the office of President of the United States – yet another of Trump’s political advisers is now heading to prison.

We’ve already seen Donald Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Trump’s fixer Michael Cohen, and Trump’s campaign adviser George Papadopoulos head to prison. Trump’s campaign vice chairman Rick Gates is headed to prison as part of a plea deal. Trump’s former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is headed to prison now that he’s screwed up what would have been a lenient cooperation deal. Now we can add another name to the lists.

Yesterday a jury convicted Bijan Kian of acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. You may not be familiar with his name, but he’s best known as Michael Flynn’s former business partner. Kian was also a Donald Trump transition team adviser. Though he hasn’t been sentenced yet, Kian is headed to prison; it’s just a matter of how long or short his sentence ends up being.

One by one, the criminals working for Donald Trump are being picked off and sent to prison. Bijan Kian is far from the first, and he won’t be the last. Of course the last person to end up behind bars in all this will be Donald Trump himself, the minute he’s no longer in office. With Mueller’s testimony today, Trump’s exit from office could end up coming sooner rather than later.
