Donald Trump’s Jeffrey Epstein scandal isn’t going away

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump managed to largely push his Jeffrey Epstein scandal out of the mainstream media headlines by forcing his complicit Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta to resign, and by carrying on with a particularly deranged racist tantrum. The thing is, it’s only a temporarily solution for Trump – and we were just reminded of this.

This morning, a new sealed document was filed in the case of United States v. Epstein. What’s in the document? We have no way of knowing. Could be important. Could be a mere formality. The point is the case is continuing to play out in the court system, regardless of what Donald Trump says or does, and the dots are going to lead back to where they lead back to.

There are some pundits who have already decided that Trump’s Attorney General William Barr is going to simply wave a magic wand and make the Epstein case go away, or at least make the Trump-related aspects of the Epstein case go away. The thing is, Barr doesn’t have a magic wand. If he did, he’d have stopped the Epstein arrest from happening to begin with.

Nor is there any logical merit to the popular theory that Donald Trump and William Barr purposely had Jeffrey Epstein arrested so they could manipulate the case to take down Trump’s political adversaries. Barr isn’t the kind of precision instrument who could pull something like that off while still keeping Trump shielded from it. Nor is Epstein magically getting pardoned. Trump’s only hope would have been to stop Epstein from being arrested to begin with, and that ship has sailed.

The court system moves methodically, so it’ll take some time for any Trump-related aspects of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal to come to the surface – but they will. Donald Trump knows it, which is why he’s at his most erratic and unhinged place to date.
