It must truly suck to be a Trump supporter

It must be tough to be a Trump supporter, what with so much explaining to do, so many lies to justify, so many shady deals to explain away. Frankly, it sounds too much like work to be a supporter of Donald Trump.

Just to pick a topic out of thin air, oh, I dunno, how about Trump’s refrain of “no collusion?” What exactly did he mean by that? Well, at first it sounded like he meant he never colluded with Russia to overthrow the 2016 election and that he would never do such a thing. That he and his people never met with the Russians, never listened to dirt on Hillary Clinton and never enlisted Russian help.

Then we go and find out that his people did meet with the Russians, they did listen to dirt about Hillary, they did enlist Russia’s help. Not only that, but Trump admitted to George Stephanopolous that if Russia had dirt on his 2020 Democratic opponent he’d probably listen to that as well. Would he call the FBI about it? No, why should he?

But wait, it gets even better. On his way to the G20 summit in Japan, Trump was asked by a reporter if, when he meets him, would Trump ask Vladimir Putin not to interfere with the 2020 election? Here’s what Trump told her: “None of your business.”

Like I said, it must suck being a Trump supporter. I mean, if it isn’t our business whether or not the president of the United States is going to ask a hostile dictator of a foreign government not to interfere in the sovereign right of the United States of America to govern itself and decide who its leaders are going to be, well, then I wonder whose business exactly is it?

So, getting back to this sticky, ugly collusion question. When Donald Trump says, “no collusion,” what exactly is he talking about? I would really love to learn. Perhaps some random Trump supporter can explain it to me. Extra points if he or she can do it without once mentioning Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, or any other person who has been retired from politics (or dead) for two or more years. Oh, and don’t mention unemployment, the “wonderful wall,” the brown hordes, or call me a “libtard,” or try to change the topic in any way. I’ll bet you can’t do it. Like I said, sucks being you, doesn’t it?
