Americans are truly sick of Donald Trump’s crap
While it is clear that Donald Trump cares nothing for rules, norms, or the law, it sometimes appears odd when groups or individuals suddenly choose to speak out against Trump’s ongoing disregard for what made America great in the first place. Despite his previous (and yet still current) chants of “Make America Great Again,” Trump has done nothing to actually improve the nation that he illegitimately took control of 29 months ago. In fact, Trump has set this country back decades.
It now appears that some news outlets are finally willing to speak out against Trump’s tyranny. In an unprecedented development, The Orlando Sentinel, a news organization that has recently leaned to the right, came out with a scathing rebuke of Trump, endorsing “Not Donald Trump” in the 2020 Presidential election. “After 2½ years we’ve seen enough,” the paper stated. “Enough of the chaos, the division, the schoolyard insults, the self-aggrandizement, the corruption, and especially the lies. So many lies — from white lies to whoppers — told out of ignorance, laziness, recklessness, expediency or opportunity.”
And it wasn’t only the typically Republican-leaning Orlando Sentinel. The Wall Street Journal recently published an article entitled, “A Second Term for What?” After typically promoting policies espoused by Republicans, The Wall Street Journal is now publishing an article calling out Trump for his excessive lies and any lack of follow-through on promises.
Most Americans have figured out that Trump’s promises are all false promises, yet his cult-like followers continue to believe every word he says. The Wall Street Journal states, “Mr. Trump is asking for four more years, and his preoccupation with vindicating 2016 won’t resonate much beyond his core supporters.” While Trump will not likely lose too much of his current base, his constant actions against our Constitution should prevent him from gaining any new supporters.
