Sorry, Donald Trump, that’s not how any of this works
Donald Trump took some hits this past week. He continues to be in the proverbial crosshairs on numerous fronts, and his corruptness is exposed daily. In the latest, Trump and his Department of “Justice” have been found to have intervened to have kept Paul Manafort from a temporary stay in Rikers, while Elaine Chao continues to show her graft, but no surprise – she is married to Senator Mitch “the Con” McConnell.
In his latest deflection effort, Trump turns once again to the southern border and his latest plans. On Twitter Monday evening, he wrote:
“Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in. Mexico, using their strong immigration laws, is doing a very good job of stopping people long before they get to our Southern Border. Guatemala is getting ready to sign a Safe-Third Agreement. The only ones who won’t do anything are the Democrats in Congress. They must vote to get rid of the loopholes, and fix asylum! If so, Border Crisis will end quickly!”
Funny, just a week or maybe more ago, Trump was blasting Mexico for doing nothing to stop the migration to the United States. Now, with the newly formed Mexican National Guard (like a political committee, still in formation at present), apparently, they are doing one heck of a job. And we are old enough to remember when the wall and border barriers were working to stop the illegal immigrants from coming into the United States. But of course, it is the Democrats in Congress. Does that include the Senate, where the Con has done zilch to address any issues, from election security to anything else?
The scariest part of Trump’s latest tweet is that he threatens ICE removal of millions of aliens who have “illicitly” entered. The real danger to our nation is this administration and the feckless GOP that permits Trump to go unchecked. But a warning – don’t cough in Trump’s presence, he does not like that. Just kiss his ass and grin.
