Sarah Huckabee Sanders gets ripped to pieces

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The redacted Mueller report recently revealed that White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders admitted to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team that she had made false statements from the podium with regard to Donald Trump’s obstruction of justice crimes. This would be enough to get anyone else fired, and possibly indicted, but in the criminal Trump regime it merely means she fits right in. Now she’s getting absolutely hammered by one of the most respected names in the business.

Sam Donaldson, who served as a White House correspondent and an anchor for ABC News, appeared on CNN on Friday night and said that Sarah Huckabee Sanders should get a “Lifetime Achievement Oscar for lying.” He went on to explain that in all his years covering the White House he’s never seen a Press Secretary flat out lie on a president’s behalf, with the exception of Nixon’s Press Secretary Ron Ziegler – and even that was different, because Ziegler was only lying about Watergate, while Sanders lies about “everything.”

This afternoon, Sarah Sanders used her official White House Press Secretary account to tweet this message in apparent response to Sam Donaldson: “All the liberal lies can’t change the fact that the Trump presidency has been a success.” This doesn’t even come close to making sense, of course.

Meanwhile, Sarah Huckabee Sanders continues to be one of the very few remaining senior advisers in Donald Trump’s increasingly nonfunctional White House. That said, it’s not clear what if anything she actually does, as she almost never holds press briefings these days.
