Ted Lieu drops the hammer on Jared Kushner

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This week we all learned that Donald Trump personally ordered that Jared Kushner be given a high security clearance, even after White House officials determined that Kushner was a security risk to the United States. This came after Trump, Kushner, Ivanka, and Kushner’s lawyer Abbe Lowell had all previously claimed that Trump had nothing to do with the process.

Last night Lowell released a statement which we thought sounded an awful lot like he was accusing his client Jared Kushner of having lied to him about the whole thing. It turns out we’re not the only ones who interpreted it that way. Democratic Congressman Ted Lieu, who has long been vocal in trying to get Kushner’s security clearance revoked, had something to say about it as well.

Ted Lieu quoted the statement made by Jared Kushner’s lawyer, and added this: “TRANSLATION OF NEW STATEMENT FROM ABBE LOWELL: Jared Kushner lied to me either at the time, or afterwards, when he didn’t disclose that his father-in-law ignored the FBI & CIA & WH Counsel & John Kelly and ordered the granting of the security clearance.”

Congressman Ted Lieu is a former military prosecutor, and he currently sits on the House Judiciary Committee, where the impeachment process originates. We consider Donald Trump’s handling of Jared Kushner’s security clearance to be an impeachable matter, and we’re getting the feeling that Lieu sees it that way too.
