Now we know the earliest date that Robert Mueller can arrest Donald Trump Jr

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has caved and named Republicans to the House Intel Committee, which means the Democratic majority on the committee can hold a vote to release the Trump-Russia transcripts to Special Counsel Robert Mueller. This will set a process in motion, and now we know the earliest date that Mueller can arrest Donald Trump Jr.

Now that the House Intel Committee has a full roster, the earliest it can vote on the transcripts is next Tuesday. The Democrats will automatically win this vote because they have the majority, even if all of the Republicans vote against it. Committee Chairman Adam Schiff will then ostensibly deliver the transcripts to Robert Mueller before that day is over. So what happens from there?

Schiff confirmed this evening what we’ve long suspected: Robert Mueller already has unofficial copies of these transcripts. That means he and his team have already gone through them and identified every instance of perjury. All they have to do once they get the official transcripts is to go in front of the grand jury and obtain perjury indictments. The earliest Mueller could put this in front of the grand jury would be next Wednesday, a week from today.

It’s worth keeping in mind that Mueller has almost surely already presented to the grand jury the Trump-Russia criminal cases against the likes of Donald Trump Jr and Jared Kushner. In such case Mueller would simply need to tell the grand jury about the perjury, show them the transcripts, and obtain the indictments. Even if Mueller’s overall criminal cases against these guys aren’t yet complete, he could still indict them just for lying to Congress and the WikiLeaks-related charges, as he just did to Roger Stone.

If Robert Mueller were to rush this process next Wednesday and obtain immediate perjury indictments, the earliest he could send out the FBI to arrest the targets would be Thursday, February 7th. This does not mean it’ll happen on that day. There could be various factors that could drag out the process. But by all accounts Donald Trump Jr is the first target when it comes to these transcripts. Now you know the soonest he could go down for it.
