Sad, whiny, self-pitying Donald Trump admits it’s over for him
Donald Trump woke up in such a frantic and scared mood on Christmas Eve morning, he blasted out too many deranged tweets to keep track of. By the time the smoke cleared, his tweets had sent the stock market off a cliff, offended the military, spun conspiracy theories too deranged for anyone to take seriously, and then – finally – admitted that it’s over for him.
There is only one possible way to interpret this tweet: “I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security. At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the Border Wall we are all talking about. Crazy!”
Trump just flat out admitted that he’s losing, and that he’s wallowing in self-pity. Sure, he often complains and paints himself as a victim. But this feels different. For one thing, it came during one of the most calamitously failed days of his illegitimate presidency. Also, after Trump had been tweeting defiantly all morning, he posted the “I am all alone” tweet and then abruptly stopped his ranting.
So what now? We have a “president” who has failed on every level, who knows his remaining time is short, and who knows he’ll be arrested the minute he’s no longer president. Are we supposed to feel pity for him? Of course not. The best Christmas gift we could receive right now is his immediate ouster via the 25th Amendment, followed by his arrest and trial.
