Roger Stone flips out after Steve Bannon sells him out to Robert Mueller

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

That ticking sound you hear is the countdown to Roger Stone’s indictment and arrest, which at this rate is coming closer by the day. Yesterday we learned that Special Counsel Robert Mueller brought in Steve Bannon for yet another interview, and this time the questions were entirely about Stone. As we’ve explained, for whatever reason, Bannon has been quite cooperative with Mueller this year. Now that Bannon is selling Stone out, Stone isn’t taking it particularly well.

Roger Stone used his Instagram account last night to unload on Steve Bannon, labeling him a “bloated alcoholic pos” who “tried to stab Donald Trump in the back.” We don’t know what Bannon specifically told Mueller about Stone, but based on Stone’s reaction, he clearly thinks it wasn’t good. This comes just as the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Mueller is investigating Stone’s remarks made about WikiLeaks collusion to supporters on conference calls during the 2016 election.

Meanwhile, in an apparently related story, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is now claiming that Ecuador – which has been offering him asylum in its embassy basement for several years – is about to hand him over to the United States. Is Robert Mueller bringing Assange to the U.S. so he can indict Assange and Roger Stone in tandem? It’s sure starting to look like it.
