Donald Trump’s day so far

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

3:14am – Donald Trump posts tweet blaming CNN for bomb sent to CNN, paints himself as the real victim: “Funny how lowly rated CNN, and others, can criticize me at will, even blaming me for the current spate of Bombs and ridiculously comparing this to September 11th and the Oklahoma City bombing, yet when I criticize them they go wild and scream, “it’s just not Presidential!””

9:00am – FBI discovers bombs targeting Senator Cory Booker and former Director of Intelligence James Clapper.

10:05am – Trump complains that his Twitter follower count has stopped growing: “A few weeks ago it was a Rocket Ship, now it is a Blimp!”

10:19am – Trump posts tweet implying that the bombs are some kind of hoax: “Republicans are doing so well in early voting, and at the polls, and now this “Bomb” stuff happens and the momentum greatly slows – news not talking politics. Very unfortunate, what is going on. Republicans, go out and vote!”

11:30am – FBI arrests Trump supporter Cesar Sayoc for sending the bombs. FBI also confiscates his van, which is covered with pro-Trump propaganda, and contains a picture of Hillary Clinton’s face with a target on it.

1:15pm – Trump holds event, audience chants “Lock him up” in reference to liberal billionaire George Soros. Trump then agrees with the audience, saying “Lock him up.” To be clear, Trump is calling for Soros to be imprisoned, not the guy who tried to murder Soros.

2:30pm – FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Jeff Sessions hold press conference. Wray confirms that the bombs are not “hoax” devices. Sessions states his belief that the bomber was a “partisan.”

5:00pm – Reporters ask Donald Trump outside the White House if he plans to reach out to any of the intended victims of the bomber. Trump says he’ll “pass.”
