Donald Trump erupts on Twitter after SNL begins lampooning him and Kanye West

To the surprise of no one, Saturday Night Live opened its episode tonight by lampooning this week’s embarrassing Oval Office meeting between Donald Trump and an obviously mentally unstable Kanye West. The Alec Baldwin-led sketch exposed the meeting as having been a disaster for Trump. Just moments later, the real Donald Trump suddenly decided that he needed attention.

SNL began making fun of Donald Trump at 11:30pm eastern time. Just after the sketch ended, Trump posted a tweet about how he’d had a “Big day!” (no really, he used those words), and proceeded to brag about the fact that he held a rally tonight. Then a few minutes later, Trump posted another tweet, this time shamelessly promoting a new book written by one of his propagandists, Tucker Carlson.

Strangely, Donald Trump (or whichever handler might be running his Twitter account tonight) decided that the best way to distract from SNL was to post one inappropriate, yet not at all berserk, tweet after another. It’s as if the explosively deranged Trump has given way to weirdly wimpy Trump. This somewhat mirrored tonight’s SNL version of Trump, which saw him meekly realizing that he and Kanye are equally full of crap.
