After Trump caves, FBI reveals it’s begun investigating Julie Swetnick allegations against Brett Kavanaugh

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Saturday night we saw a whirlwind series of events which saw Donald Trump getting caught trying to block the FBI from investigating the accusations that Julie Swetnick made against Brett Kavanaugh, before quickly backing down. As Palmer Report pointed out, Trump’s late-night tweet giving the FBI free rein was a legally binding order. Now it turns out the FBI is indeed already moving on Swetnick’s allegations.

Just before 11pm eastern time, after NBC News had caught him and his White House trying to meddle in the FBI probe, Donald Trump tweeted this: “I want [the FBI] to interview whoever they deem appropriate, at their discretion.” Shortly afterward, the New York Times revealed that the FBI will question Mark Judge about the accusations that both Christine Blasey Ford and Julie Swetnick have made against Kavanaugh and Judge. Despite that article’s misleading headline about a “restricted range,” it goes on to reveal just how vast the FBI’s range truly is.

Strangely, the NY Times report says that the FBI is not planning to interview Swetnick herself. No reason has been given, but we believe there are various possible explanations. One could be that the FBI feels it’s already gathered all the information necessary from her on-camera interview and the details that her attorney Michael Avenatti has already made public, and due to the time constraints, it wants to skip straight to questioning Judge, so it can begin investigating whatever he tells them about in the interview.

In any case, the bottom line here is that Brett Kavanaugh now has good reason to be very, very afraid. When Donald Trump and his White House tried to secretly block certain aspects of the FBI investigation, it telegraphed that these were the specific areas in which Kavanaugh faced the most serious threat of legal jeopardy. Now that the FBI knows precisely were to look, it’s just been handed free rein to do whatever it wants, and it’s already doing precisely that.
