After Paul Manafort flips on him, Donald Trump launches into deranged meltdown

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Paul Manafort cut a plea deal earlier today and formally agreed to cooperate with prosecutors on every aspect of the Trump-Russia scandal – including the ongoing criminal investigation into Donald Trump. Hours went by without a response from Trump, suggesting that perhaps he had been taken aback by the move, or that he wasn’t sure how to respond. But by early evening, Trump finally exploded with a deranged meltdown – which incredibly involved Geraldo Rivera of all people.

Manafort already conducted multiple proffer sessions with federal prosecutors prior to the finalization of this plea deal, according to several major news outlets. This means that Manafort has already blabbed about everything he knows, and turned over everything he has, about Donald Trump. Manafort has also surely spilled the beans about the meeting that he, Donald Trump Jr, and Jared Kushner attended with Russian government representatives at Trump Tower during the election. Trump’s world is now falling apart by the hour. So what’s on his mind? Puerto Ricans.

Trump tweeted this absurd, deranged, and dishonest quote from disgraced Fox News buffoon Geraldo Rivera: “They say all these people died in the storm in Puerto Rico, yet 70% of the power was out before the storm. So when did people start dying? At what point do you recognize that what they are doing is a political agenda couched in the nice language of journalism?” That’s right, even as the walls cave in on Trump, he’s doubling down on one of the most self-defeating and evil lies he’s ever told.

The night is still young, and we’ll see if Donald Trump gets around to ranting about Paul Manafort before he passes out for the evening. But for now, with Trump focusing on his lies about Puerto Rico hurricane deaths, it’s clear that his eye is not on the ball at a time when his entire life is in danger of falling to pieces.
