Donald Trump Jr’s weirdest move yet

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The saga of Donald Trump Jr has taken so many twists and turns, we’ve nearly lost track. First he incriminated himself by plotting with the Russians in writing to try to alter the outcome of the election in his father’s favor. Then he further incriminated himself by releasing his emails after his meeting had been exposed. Then he suddenly got divorced right after Robert Mueller subpoenaed the Trump Organization. Then Donald Trump incriminated him on Twitter. This is the stuff of cartoon idiots. Now it’s gotten even weirder.

When Donald Trump Jr announced on Thursday that it was “Mountain time” and “See you in a week,” we didn’t know he meant it literally. Yet four days after he posted those words along with a photo of a private plane, he hasn’t tweeted since. This is a big deal, considering that he usually posts five to ten tweets and retweets per day. Considering the urgently delusional conspiracy theory lunacy that he tends to post on Twitter, you’d be tempted to conclude that he thinks these tweets are vital to keeping him out of prison.

It turns out he really has gone off the grid, or at least gone off Twitter, during his week long trip to the mountains. The timing is odd, to say the least. Let’s say you’ve just been thrown under the bus in a manner which makes clear you’re going to prison for the rest of your life unless you and your legal team manage to come up with the most magically clever defense of all time. Instead of meeting with them, you… disappear?

Maybe Donald Trump Jr is trying to enjoy his freedom while he still can, because he knows what’s coming next. Maybe he’s truly snapped, and he doesn’t understand that he’s now fighting for his life. Or maybe he’s just that stupid. He seems so confused about life, he’s left us confused. But his criminal culpability will still be waiting for him when he gets home.
