Donald Trump Jr circles the drain

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Ever since Donald Trump threw his son, Don Jr., under the bus by admitting the Trump Tower meeting was indeed set up to get Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton, Don Jr. has been unusally silent about the matter. His Twitter account has been simply retweets about conspiracy theories along with a couple tweets about fake polls and nonsense about Twitter shadow banning conservatives, but nothing to contradict his father’s tweet, which ensured he will be going to prison for multiple felonies.

While Don Jr. is still silent on twitter with regard to his father’s claims, he did agree to call into Laura Ingraham’s radio show on Monday. Let’s first remember what Don Jr. said back in July 2017, when it was reported he met with several Russians during the campaign. The meeting took place following an email stating, “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump,” and the promise that they would be providing information that could be used to damage the campaign of Hillary Clinton.

Don Jr. responded to the email saying, “If it’s what you say, I love it, especially later in the summer.” Once the meeting was first reported, Donald dictated a statement for Don Jr. which claimed that the meeting was solely about Russian adoption, but that claim would quickly be proven to be a blatant lie. A couple days later, Don Jr. was forced to post, via Twitter, the entire email chain, clearly proving all of his prior statements to be lies as well.

During the phone call, Ingraham asked Don Jr. about the discrepancy between his initial statements and what his father tweeted the previous day. The call turned out to be quite the microcosm of Don Jr.’s constantly dissipating hope of staying out of prison. Just as his father cut his last life-line by throwing him under the bus with a single tweet, following Ingraham’s question, Don Jr.’s line cut off before he could even attempt to fabricate another lie. Another coincidence? More likely Don Jr. gave up on the interview and hung up, just as his father has given up on him.
