Donald Trump is malfunctioning on Twitter

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump isn’t having a particularly good day, even by his low standards. His confidential memo to Special Counsel Robert Mueller has leaked, and it’s merely serving to further motivate mainstream Americans who are seeking his ouster, even as they roll their eyes at what an incompetent idiot he is. Trump appears to be thrown off his game, as evidenced by the series of malfunctions he’s having on Twitter.

It began this morning when Trump posted a quote about John Brennan. He forgot to attribute it to anyone, and as it turned out, he got the quote wrong. He then had to delete it, and he ended up replacing it with a corrected version of the quote, while crediting it to one of his own goons on Fox and Friends. He then proceeded to spend nearly the entire day tweeting or retweeting Fox and Friends. By the afternoon, he found himself retweeting a Fox and Friends attack on the New York Times, only to un-retweet it moments later for no apparent reason.

So not only is Donald Trump malfunctioning in the sense that he’s now reduced to spending all day long tweeting about Fox and Friends, he’s now malfunctioning to the point that he’s misquoting Fox and Friends, while retweeting and un-retweeting Fox and Friends. This guy has always been a cartoon villain, yet now he’s become a parody of himself.

What’s really going on here? Donald Trump is holed up at Camp David with Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Tiffany Trump. They’re supposed to be there to try to come up with a strategy to deal with the Trump-Russia probe, which is swallowing Michael Cohen and Roger Stone, and is about to swallow Kushner. Maybe the rest of them are sitting in the kitchen talking strategy, but Donald Trump is clearly sitting in front of the TV, glued to the one channel that’s still spinning a fantasy about how he’s somehow magically going to survive all of this.
