Donald Trump’s latest meltdown reveals that something ugly is about to drop

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For all his erratic behavior, Donald Trump can be remarkably consistent – and therefore predictable – when it comes to how he deals with various situations. One of his most blatant giveaways is when he knows bad news is about to surface about him. He launches into a particular response pattern and gives away how worried he is. We’re seeing that play out as we speak.

Trump woke up this morning and briefly tried to stay on message about his supposed North Korea summit, which is about as legitimate as his fake presidency. But it then took him all of nineteen minutes to relent and begin melting down about, well, everything. He tweeted this lying quote from a Fox News idiot: “This investigation involved far more surveillance than we ever had any idea about. It wasn’t just a wiretap against a campaign aide…it was secretly gathering information on the Trump Campaign…people call that Spying…this is unprecedented and scandalous.” Then it got even worse.

Trump posted two tweets in a row about the “13 Angry Democrats” who more or less don’t exist. Then, as if his dissolving brain got stuck on repeat, he tweeted the phrase “totally Crooked Campaign of totally Crooked Hillary Clinton.” Then he posted what might be the most unintentionally laugh-out-loud tweet in the history of Twitter: “Sorry, I’ve got to start focusing my energy on North Korea Nuclear, bad Trade Deals, VA Choice, the Economy, rebuilding the Military, and so much more, and not on the Rigged Russia Witch Hunt that should be investigating Clinton/Russia/FBI/Justice/Obama/Comey/Lynch etc.”

Donald Trump only behaves like this – attacking Hillary and Obama, repeating the same phrases over and over – when he’s desperate to create a distraction from whatever he knows is about to surface. So what is it this time? A tape of him plotting with Putin? A Michael Cohen plea deal? Melania is moving in with the Obamas? Who knows – but it must be a big one.
