It sounds like Robert Mueller is investigating Alex Jones for his role in the Trump-Russia scandal

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When I sometimes have the misfortune to come across the words of Alex Jones from InfoWars, I usually just ignore it, and then I suddenly feel the need to take a shower. But for once Jones has said something that appears to correctly line up with the facts and evidence. Remarkably, Jones is talking about his own status as a target in the Trump-Russia investigation.

Here’s what Alex Jones tweeted: “It’s Official! Alex Jones & Infowars Are Being Investigated For Espionage By The FBI.” If this were out of context, I’d assume he was just making it up out of thin air to try to gain attention. But for once, Jones’ words have an air of truth about them. Jones is very tight with Roger Stone. Over the weekend Stone announced on Meet The Press that he expects to be indicted and arrested soon. Stone is another dishonest attention-seeker we would normally ignore, but as it turns out, Stone is correct here. Mueller has been lining up several of Stone’s associates to testify against him for a grand jury, which means he will indeed be arrested.

Now that Roger Stone is on the verge of being arrested in the Trump-Russia investigation, it’s noteworthy that his close pal Alex Jones is insisting he’s also a target of the investigation. It makes sense, of course. Stone and Jones were closely collaborating their pro-Trump media efforts during the election, so if one of them was conspiring with Russia, wouldn’t the other have been in on it as well? What I keep coming back to here is that Jones seems to have given something away with his words.

Alex Jones says he’s being investigated for “espionage.” That’s a very specific charge, and to the best of anyone’s knowledge, no one in the Trump-Russia scandal has yet been indicted for it. Thus far the ugliest charge we’ve seen is conspiracy against the United States. Is Jones giving away that his actions during the elections included espionage? If so, does that mean the charges against Roger Stone will include espionage as well? For once, there may be something to Jones’ lunatic rambling.
